The Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) plays a unique role in providing for a safe, fair and prosperous future for Western Australia. Whether it is enabling the next big discovery in the mining sector, protecting workers’ health and safety, transforming energy supply and emissions, or rolling out new technology to provide better customer service, DEMIRS is committed to delivering for the benefit of WA and future generations.
Western Australia’s Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) aimed to enhance its Power Platform strategy by developing a pragmatic governance model, effective operating model, and a robust nurture and adoption framework.
To support these initiatives, DEMIRS needed standardised practices, guides, and tools to ensure consistent design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Power Platform solutions across the department.
ProcessPath came on board with an approach rooted in collaboration and human-centric design.
We developed a tailored Power Platform Architecture Reference Guide for architects and implemented key administrative tools, including the Centre of Excellence (CoE) toolkit and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) accelerator. This enabled the DEMIRS team to enhance governance, streamline administration, and support scalable application development.
The initiative significantly improved operational effectiveness by embedding best practices, enforcing rigorous governance, and providing robust support for developing secure, scalable applications on the Power Platform. The strengthened framework boosted employees’ productivity, ensured compliance, and positioned DEMIRS for sustained digital transformation.
